Job Description

Responsible for patrolling assigned area to ensure the safety and protection of guests, employees and company property.

Responsibilities
  • Patrols assigned areas and provides assistance to guests and team members as needed.
  • Examines doors, windows, gates, and other access points to ensure they are secure.
  • Enforces company policies related to guest and team member conduct on property.
  • Documents policy infractions and notifies management as appropriate.
  • Monitors for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, unsecured doors, or suspicious activity.
  • Responds to emergencies including fire, injuries, and property damage; investigates incidents and completes detailed reports. May assist with facility evacuation during serious emergencies.
  • Observes departing team members to help prevent theft of company property.
  • Escorts team members during pit drops, slot drops, jackpot verifications, fill verifications, and pit fills/credits.
  • Transports chips, currency, coin, and tokens to requested tables or booths.
  • Accepts, logs, and stores all lost and found items.
  • Apprehends individuals engaged in criminal activity when appropriate, detains them for law enforcement, and provides court testimony as needed.
  • Enforces state gaming laws and regulations, including identifying and removing underage persons from the casino floor.
  • Responds to verbal and/or physical altercations and applies appropriate measures to de‑escalate and resolve situations. Uses the minimum necessary force when restraint is required.
  • Initiates formal evictions of disorderly individuals when directed by a supervisor.
  • Responds to medical emergencies and provides first‑responder level aid in accordance with company policy and the officer’s certification level.
  • Stands post outdoors in 30‑minute rotations to direct traffic, 365 days a year.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Skills / Experience)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • At least 6 months of experience or training as a security officer and/or a similar role.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating procedures, and policy manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and effectively communicate with guests, team members, and groups.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret and follow written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule‑based instructions.
  • Must be able to address practical problems and adapt to situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Nevada Gaming Registration and Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Team members designated as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) must possess valid certification from the State of Nevada.
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand and walk; use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Lift and/or move objects weighing at least 25 pounds.
  • Team Member may also become involved in physical altercations requiring the use of force to overcome and restrain disorderly persons.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
