Job Description
- Patrol assigned areas on foot or by vehicle to ensure safety and security
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems
- Control access to buildings by checking identification and issuing visitor badges
- Observe and report suspicious activities or security breaches
- Respond to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms, or disturbances
- Write detailed daily activity and incident reports
- Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations
- Provide assistance and directions to visitors and staff
- Coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary
- May work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions
- Flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- May require long periods of standing or walking
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid security guard license (as required by state/local law)
- Previous security experience preferred but not always required
- Strong observational and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Basic knowledge of security procedures and emergency response
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
