Summary

As a Security Officer at Resorts World Las Vegas, you will serve as a brand ambassador while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. You will patrol designated areas, maintain static posts, and respond to emergencies, medical incidents, disturbances, and service requests, upholding the safety of guests, team members, and vendors while delivering exceptional customer service.

• Patrol designated areas of the resort, including the casino floor, ensuring safety and security.
• Maintain static posts at critical locations.
• Act as first responder during emergency situations, medical incidents, disturbances, or assistance requests.
• Assist with currency drops and fills on the casino floor.
• Gather and document information related to security incidents involving guests, team members, or the facility.
• Prepare and present voluntary statements and detailed incident reports.
• Follow company brand standards when interacting with guests and team members.
• Use personal device/cellular phone for operational tasks and review of company documents.
• Perform other job‑related duties as requested.

• Successfully complete a physical agility test (pre‑hire and biannually post‑hire).
• Exercise good judgment and perform under stressful conditions.
• Complete the internal Security Officer Training Academy.
• Complete repulse spray training, baton training, and all recurring mandatory training (legal updates, defensive tactics, handcuffing techniques, first aid, and CPR/AED).
• Participate in evacuation procedures to assist guests and team members during emergencies.
• Operate assigned security equipment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and various computer programs.
• Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Obtain and maintain full knowledge of company and departmental policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Previous experience working in a large, luxury resort setting.
• 1–3 years of related experience or equivalent.

• Minimum age 21 years.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of previous Security, Law Enforcement, or Military experience.

• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• Basic first aid, CPR, or AED application.
• Pass a 5‑panel drug test.
• Alcohol Awareness Card.
• Nevada Gaming Card.
• Nevada Driver’s License.

• Regular patrols indoors and outdoors with frequent movement throughout the property.
• Patrol and access all areas quickly.
• Capture, restrain, and detain individuals when necessary.
• Tolerate varying noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
• Prolonged sitting or standing.
• Bending, reaching, transporting, pushing, pulling, and lifting items weighing 50–150 lbs.
• Eye and hand coordination.
• Compliance with policies, procedures, memorandums, and chemical label instructions.
