The Security Officer II provides security and protection for guests, employees, and the property. Maintains crowd control, prevents theft, and discourages altercations in a high-volume atmosphere. The Security Officer works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior guest service. The role sets the standard for venue Security through on-the-job interaction and demonstration.

This is not an all-encompassing job description. It is dependent on the venue of hire and offered position which will be presented for review and acknowledgment upon hire.

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSOFTHE POSITION INCLUDE,BUTARE NOTLIMITEDto:

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of “personsofinterest” whom may be denied entrance into our venue or past employees who have been 86’ed from the venue

Appear in the dress code for all shifts at your scheduled time

Alert and get approval for all breaks, leave of rotation, or duties which you cannot perform at the time they were assigned to you

Be attentive to all company-related events and upcoming venues and changes

Keep a proper and professional appearance and attitude

Maintain and promote a friendly atmosphere for customers and staff

Comply with added hours or timeframe after a scheduled shift as needed

Administer first aid and assist injured guests or employees

Ensure that proper authorities are contacted

Uphold law and order in the hotel in conjunction with local law enforcement

Report any safety hazards immediately to Maintenance and/or Management

Answer all guest questions and furnishes detailed information on casino facilities, attractions, retail shops, and food and beverage locations

React professionally and rationally in emergency and pressure situations

Restrain intoxicated, disorderly, or insubordinate guests and alert management immediately

Communicate professionally with all management

Direct emergency vehicles when called upon

EDUCATION/WORKINGKNOWLEDGE:

2 years of Security experience or 3 years of Hospitality experience preferred

21+ years of age

Possession of or the ability to possess all state-required work cards for the position

SKILLS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS /WORK ENVIRONMENT/

SCHEDULE:

Ability to maintain composure and stay focused

Must have strong problem‑solving skills

Ability to work under pressure

Must have good positive energy throughout the day

Must be able to read and print legibly

Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time

Must be observant and quick to respond to various situations

Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs.

Small to Medium office environment

Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon the guest volume

Must be effective as part of a team; ability to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and co‑workers in a professional, courteous manner

Ability to handle a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
