What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence consistent with post orders and applicable guidelines.
* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential concerns.
* Monitor access points and help to control access for employees, patients, visitors, and/or deliveries, while reporting unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
* Complete required reports and documentation related to incidents, patrol activity, and/or observations, and communicate relevant updates with Allied Universal leadership and location representatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* A minimum of 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
* Supervisory experience is required.
* A current CPO certification is required.
* A current armed guard card and/or license is required.
* Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
* Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
* A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
