As a Armed Security Officer - Day Shifts in Las Vegas, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Our Armed Patrol Officers in a government location monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and clear communication.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and communicating with supervisors and/or public sector personnel as needed.

* Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.

* Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support compliance with post orders, weapons protocols, and applicable government location procedures.

* Prepare clear, timely reports of patrol findings, incidents, and/or observed hazards, and assist with directions, information requests, and other general support functions at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

* Possess 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

* Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

* Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
