Security Officer – Part Time (Las Vegas, NV)
The Security Officer assists the Safety & Security Manager and Assistant Manager, Security in providing a safe and secure work environment. The role involves promoting good working relations through courteous and professional contact with employees, guests, and vendors/contractors, securing premises and personnel by patrolling and inspecting inside and outside the exhibit, and protecting against fire, theft, vandalism, injury, and illegal activity in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Support security activities to safeguard company assets, employees, guests, and visitors.
- Maintain daily positive interaction with guests and employees.
- Respond to incidents, including medical emergencies, company code violations, and alcohol or drug incidents.
- Complete daily reports, incident reports, supplemental reports, and other written or electronic documentation as required.
- Escort employees and security vendors for money pickups and drop‑offs.
- Comply with company and OSHA safety protocols, including lifting items up to 50 pounds and remaining stationary for prolonged periods.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written).
- Full and open availability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Customer‑service driven with active listening and problem‑solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new platforms.
- Non‑commission Security Officer Level II license in good standing (State of Texas required for full‑time, but referenced as a desirable credential here).
- Preferred: bilingual fluency.
- Preferred certifications:
First Aid, CPR, AED, Techniques for Alcohol Management (TABC).
