Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as an Unarmed Security Officer. As an essential part of our organization, the Unarmed Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients, employees, and premises. The ideal candidate should possess excellent observation skills, a calm demeanor, and the ability to handle various security situations in a professional manner.
This is a critical role that requires a strong commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
- Conduct regular patrols on foot or by vehicle to monitor the premises, identify potential security risks, and respond promptly to any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Enforce access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorized personnel and visitors gain access to restricted areas.
- Maintain a friendly and approachable demeanor while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors, providing assistance when required and addressing inquiries in a professional manner.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches, taking necessary actions to protect lives and property while awaiting the arrival of emergency services.
- Document all security-related incidents, accidents, and activities in detailed and accurate reports. Submit these reports to the appropriate authorities and management as required.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including closed‑circuit television (CCTV), to monitor activities within the premises and identify potential security issues.
- Monitor and respond to alarms, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken and incidents are investigated thoroughly.
- Manage large gatherings and events by implementing crowd control measures and ensuring the safety of attendees.
- Assist in enforcing safety protocols and procedures, such as evacuation plans and safety drills, to prevent accidents and maintain a secure environment.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, fire departments, and emergency services when necessary, providing them with critical information during incidents.
- Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added or modified as deemed necessary.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be willing and able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, holidays, and weekends.
- Work in a fast‑paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment.
This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in English may also be required.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The Member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
