On-Call Armed Security Officer

this position is strictly for on-call applicants only. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on client needs, call-offs, special events, vacations, and coverage requests. Applicants seeking full-time or part-time guaranteed schedules should apply to the appropriate position instead.

pay range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

palisade defense security is seeking professional, dependable, and flexible armed security officers to join our team on an on-call basis. This position is ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income, schedule flexibility, or additional security experience.

on-call officers may be assigned to cover call-offs, vacations, special events, emergency assignments, and new client contracts. Assignments may vary in location, schedule, and duration based on operational needs.

• patrol assigned locations and maintain a visible security presence.
• monitor entrances and exits to ensure access is restricted to authorized personnel.
• observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
• complete daily activity reports (dars), incident reports, and other required documentation.
• enforce client policies, site rules, and company procedures.
• monitor surveillance systems and security equipment when assigned.
• provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• assist law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.

• valid nevada pilb armed work card required.
• reliable transportation required.
• previous security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred.
• strong communication and report-writing skills.
• ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure.
• professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

• on-call position only; hours are not guaranteed.
• must be willing to work day, swing, graveyard, weekend, and holiday shifts as needed.
• flexible availability is highly preferred.
• assignments are offered based on client needs and operational requirements.
