Armed Security Officer - Resource Center

As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support daily operations with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while contributing to a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner, including documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty equipment in accordance with post orders and company policy, while remaining prepared to respond to escalated situations requiring an armed presence.

• Have at least 1 year of armed security related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
