JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. Job Summary – Essential Functions/DutiesSecurity Specialist with extensive experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) security programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and safeguarding classified information. Skilled in personnel, physical, and information security, conducting security investigations, managing clearance processes, and implementing risk mitigation strategies while maintaining mission readiness.
Desired Qualifications- Must have active TS or Q security clearance.
Associate’s degree or equivalent military or technical training with one year specifically related work experience in the NISPOM/SAP/SCI security fields, complemented by formal training such as successful completion of the Industrial Security Management Course. Must be familiar with the rules and regulations of the National Industrial Security Program Operation Manual (NISPOM) pertaining to all aspects of security. Must have working knowledge of site‑specific procedures and security requirements.
The position requires a high degree of accuracy pertaining to all aspects of personnel security.
In addition, a Security Specialist II must possess the following qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Proficiency operating personal computers using Microsoft Word, Excel, and graphics software, and data base management experience.
- Familiarity with a standard Intel computer system, laminating machine, and professional Instamatic camera.
- Qualification for and maintenance of a government security clearance.
- Valid, state‑issued driver’s license.
The expected salary range for this position is $67,142.40 to $ annually.

Working ConditionsThis position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards. There is occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds), constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing, and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for routine communications. Must maintain constant mental alertness. Routine travel to remote work locations may be required.
