Job SummaryThe Security Officer’s Dispatch main function is to provide a friendly and safe environment for our guests and team members while protecting company assets.
Responsibilities- Greeting guests and fellow team members with a friendly and sincere welcome.
- Communicating with patrons over the telephone, presenting a pleasant, courteous personality.
- Verifying that all required equipment is on hand and functioning properly.
- Performing data entry for all applicable programs; remaining calm and professional during stressful situations and effectively multitasking handling duties of the position to include phones, radio, monitors, camera locations and operation.
- Routinely reviewing accessible video cameras and reporting all malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining knowledge of all camera coverage and required sequencing in order to perform all reviews of observed incidents.
- Monitoring alarm systems, and upon activation immediately notifying proper emergency personnel.
- Continuously patrolling the property to ensure the safety of the guests and team members and to uphold established laws, policies, and procedures.
- Using good judgment to solve problems and facilitate resolution of customer complaints through personal action and coordination with other departments.
- Acting as an ambassador of Caesars Entertainment by providing accurate directions with respect to property attractions and amenities.
- Maintaining a well‑groomed appearance reflecting the professional appearance and demeanor of the Security Department.
- Assisting civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative proceedings.
- Interviewing, investigating, and documenting incidents which require security intervention in accordance with company and department policy.
- Enforcing all company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to required attendance guidelines and all company and department policies.
- Responding to dispatched areas promptly.
- Conducting slot, pit, poker, and other drops in compliance with Nevada Gaming law and departmental procedures.
- Following and complying with departmental policy concerning the Use of Force with respect to arrest and detention of individuals who violate laws and/or company policy.
- High school graduate or equivalent (required).
- One to two years of prior security experience (preferred).
- Experience in a role with direct guest contact (preferred).
- Ability to manage several tasks at once.
- Good oral and written communication skills and working knowledge of basic computer programs.
- Must possess a Nevada Gaming Card, an Alcohol Awareness Card (AES), and a current and valid Nevada Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
- Work 12‑hour shifts.
- Work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat above 115°F or cold as low as 10°F.
- Physically restrain individuals when a condition of arrest exists.
- Respond calmly to crisis and stressful situations and make rational decisions when handling guest and employee issues.
- Work independently.
- Stoop, bend, jump, twist, crouch, grip, carry heavy loads and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, as well as up and down stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Push or pull up to 150 pounds.
- See and remember specific details of incidents and people.
- Give court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
- Read, write, speak and understand English.
- Tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
- Pass physical and written testing of the Western Division Security Academy within first 90 days of employment.
- Re‑certify between years 2 and 3 through the Western Division Security Academy and pass all physical, mental and environmental demands as required.
