Surveillance Operator
Location:
Las Vegas, NV
Pay Rate: $16.37 per hour
Position Type:
Contract (6 months, potential for full-time conversion based on performance)
Shift: Night Shift
Schedule:
Tuesday–Saturday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
- Mandatory 2-week training: 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Saturday–Wednesday)
This is an onsite surveillance monitoring role responsible for observing live video feeds across multiple locations, identifying suspicious or unsafe activity, and responding in real time. Operators work in a fast-paced, multi-screen environment using surveillance software to ensure safety and security across monitored sites.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor multiple live surveillance camera feeds to detect suspicious or unsafe activity.
- Issue real-time audio warnings when appropriate.
- Escalate incidents to law enforcement, emergency responders, or site contacts.
- Document incidents with clear, accurate, and detailed reports.
- Operate multiple monitors, systems, and applications simultaneously.
- Maintain focus, attendance, and adherence to assigned schedules.
- Coordinate with IT support for technical issues (no troubleshooting required).
- Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking).
- Comfortable communicating with law enforcement and property representatives.
- Proficient computer skills and ability to navigate multiple screens.
- Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
- Ability to remain seated and focused for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work weekends and assigned shifts without flexibility.
- Call center, dispatch, or control center experience.
- Video gaming or fast multi-screen reaction experience.
- Loss prevention or surveillance background.
- Experience in high-volume, structured desk-based environments.
- Onsite operations center (climate-controlled office).
- Multi-monitor surveillance workstation setup.
- Structured, non-flexible scheduling.
- Fast-paced, detail-driven monitoring environment.
- Team communication via digital platforms.
