Job Summary
Locksmith 1, Facilities Management – University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Requisition: R0150394. Grade 30, Step 1, salary $54,267.12. Full‑time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:00 pm.
Responsibilities- Maintain the master key system for all UNLV campuses.
- Install, maintain, and repair locking devices and systems, including boring cylinder, tumbler, electronic magnetic and push‑button combination locks, and panic exit devices.
- Document all work, maintain detailed records and schematics, perform software and configuration changes, and keep a tracking system for completed maintenance and installation.
- Prepare reports on operations, materials, and supplies.
- Adhere to state and agency policies, building codes and safety regulations (NFPA 70, NAC 477, NRS 477 and OSHA requirements).
- Completion of a recognized locksmith apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of state and local building codes, NFPA 70, NAC 477, NRS 477 and OSHA requirements.
- Current Class C driver’s license (required at time of appointment and as a condition of continued employment).
- Specific knowledge in Small Format Interchangeable Cores (SFIC) cores.
Grade 30, Step 1 – annual salary $54,267.12. Benefits include:
