Opportunity

We are seeking experienced HVAC Field Technicians with the ability to travel to the customer site to start up, commission, troubleshoot and repair the equipment we represent. This full‑time role requires the capability to work independently, strong diagnostic skills, and project management for start‑up commissioning and coordination of personnel and services. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, work well with others, and maintain a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Field Supervisors, Service Coordinators and customers.

Fundamental

Functions & Responsibilities
  • Start‑up, commission, and support BMS on equipment we represent
  • Perform factory start‑up, commissioning, warranty service on Data Center equipment and systems we represent
  • Perform electrical and mechanical inspections to ensure peak performance
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s)
  • Represent the company positively to other trades, contractors and owners
  • Suggest additional services that benefit customers
  • Work in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Submit required paperwork to the Data Mission Critical Administrator in a timely manner
  • Work safely daily and ensure all safety measures are followed
  • Perform PM tasks for dedicated equipment on site
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Skills
  • Apply knowledge of refrigeration, airflow and thermodynamics
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client groups

  • Effectively communicate problems and solutions
  • Demonstrated technical skills to explain product functionality to customers
  • Well‑developed planning, organization, analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Proficient in computer skills such as Excel and Power Point
  • Produce clear, timely and concise documentation with strong problem‑solving skills
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
  • Travel substantially within the operational region
  • Flexible schedule may be required
  • Willingness to work in adverse working conditions
Required Profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 training plus 3–5+ years of experience as a Service Technician in a commercial environment
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with handheld computers (e.g., Smartphone, iPad)
  • Electrical knowledge and EPA certification
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms, exposure to noisy equipment, extreme weather, risk of electrical shock, and working at elevated heights
  • Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and regularly lift up to 50 lb (frequently 75 lb)
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while balancing multiple varied duties
