THE ROLE

The Site Experience – Operator position is responsible for safely transporting, performing equipment checks before and after use, loading and unloading materials, ensuring load security and adhering to safety protocols to maintain efficient workflow. This role requires forklift and telehandler (lull) certification with strong communication and safety awareness skills.

Responsibilities
  • Strictly adhere to OSHA safety procedures
  • Efficiently and safely load and unload trucks, move heavy scenic items that require precise maneuvering in tight and crowded spaces
  • Perform basic equipment inspection prior to operating
  • Identify safety issues (integrity of pallets, compromised fork pockets, unlevel ground etc)
  • Able to assist in basic rigging operations
  • Perform the load‑in and load‑out of department equipment and elements
  • Assist with audio/lighting cabling as needed
  • Responsible for communicating details of the event to crew leads
  • Assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and props
  • Operate and care for work areas in a safe, clean manner
  • Project a professional image by working steadily, being a team player and being responsible for personal actions
  • Safely operate various types of utility vehicles and heavy equipment with appropriate certification
  • Follow all company and department policies
  • Follow written and verbal directives
  • Use various hand and power tools
  • Identify any faulty equipment and damaged materials and report to Crew Lead or Project Manager
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 year experience working in festival, concert, tour, or production experience
  • Must have current heavy equipment certifications (forklift, telehandler)
  • Must possess valid and current driver’s license
  • Must be up to date and willing to comply with all OSHA safety standards
  • Must be familiar with using common hand signals
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse team
  • Ability to assess the stability and safety of lifting and placing heavy loads
  • Physically capable of working in various weather conditions
  • Ability to consistently sit, walk, stand, lift for extended periods, 10‑14 hour days
  • OSHA 10 Required
Work Environment
  • Must be willing to travel to work during holidays, evenings and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event locations
