Position SummaryThe Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic (“A&P Mechanic”) performs various maintenance functions on company aircraft in accordance with company policies and federal aviation regulations. This is a bargaining‑unit position with schedule, shift, and pay determined by seniority.
Essential Functions- Perform and assist approved work within scheduled shift.
- Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records.
- Seek on‑job training to maintain qualification standards.
- Operate engine run and taxi as authorized by Frontier qualification.
- Operate various ground support equipment and passenger vehicles with valid driver’s license and required endorsements.
- Coordinate activities with lead mechanic or supervisor.
- Research relevant information and materials for scheduled work.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of maintenance areas.
- Adhere to “clean as you go” and housekeeping standards.
- Control tools and report lost/found tools.
- Follow all rules and regulations for a safe working environment.
- Enter necessary data and complete work in maintenance tracking software.
- Comply with MEL/CDL/NEF Program procedures.
- Monitor proper completion of aircraft records.
- Make FMIS entries as required.
- Maintain training requirements and keep training current.
- Follow approved procedures unless deviation is authorized.
- Interior‑crew tasks: remove, repair, reinstall aircraft interiors including seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, ceilings, flooring, etc.
- FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Valid motor vehicle driver’s license and ability to acquire, hold, and execute it.
- Two years experience performing maintenance on A320 series or comparable large aircraft – including maintenance checks, engine changes, gear changes, structural repairs, flight‑control rigging, and component maintenance.
- Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of assignment in Line Maintenance.
- FAA certificated mechanic with Airframe rating.
- Two years experience on A320 series or large similar aircraft for specified maintenance areas.
- Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification within six months.
- Ability to complete differences training.

- Ability to plan, organize, and administer workloads to subordinates.
- Position requires strenuous physical work (lifting up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently).
- Complete differences training.
- Obtain Taxi & Run‑up qualification within 6 months.
- Perform strenuous lifting/pushing/pulling tasks (100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs regularly).

Base Rate: $29.39 per hour, increases to $29.90 per hour after 90 days of employment.
Additional Premiums:
- $1.20 for A License; $1.20 for P License.
- $1.00 Run/Taxi qualified after training.
- $1.00 Graveyard shift.
- $0.75 for 3 years Airbus experience and Gen Fam certified (or after training).
- $0.75 for 3 years Airbus experience and Troubleshooting certified (or after training).
