We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician in Las Vegas. This position will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical inspection, start‑up maintenance on the equipment we sell. This is a full‑time opportunity for an energetic go‑getter. An ideal candidate will be customer service oriented and work well with others. The position requires a high level of correspondence with Project Managers, Service Coordinators, and customers.

Responsibilities
  • Complete Startup and proper documentation of new units
  • Perform specific preventative maintenance including belt adjustments, oiling, greasing, and cleaning of equipment.
  • Use experience and technical skills with preventive maintenance and system operations to determine service requirements.
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location, and operation of the system(s).
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors, and owners.
  • Advise owner/representative of preventive maintenance inspections performed and corrective actions to be taken.
  • Suggest additional services that are beneficial to customers.
Required Profile
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Current HVAC certification and OSHA 10 Training plus 1‑5 years’ experience as a Service Helper or Service Technician in a residential or commercial environment.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with hand‑held computer devices (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
  • Electrical knowledge required and EPA Certification Preferred (e.g., HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer).
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions including mechanical equipment rooms with exposure to noisy operating equipment, extreme weather, electrical shock risk, climbing/working at elevated heights, etc.
  • Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel and regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds, and frequently lift/move up to 75 pounds.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple varied duties.
Other Skills & Abilities Language Skills

Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write correspondence. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.

Mathematical Skills

Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent and draw and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or diagram instructions. Deal with problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations. Mental stamina for problem solving and prioritizing multiple tasks.

Physical Demands

The employee regularly uses hands to operate a computer keyboard, reaches with hands and arms, stands, walks, and sits. Requires climbing or balancing and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and move up to 75 pounds. Requires close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Works in a team‑based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Submits required paperwork to Service Coordinator in a timely manner.

Works safely and follows all safety measures.

Performs other duties as assigned.
