By responding to special projects, urgent needs, and emergencies (when available), contribute to maintaining a safe, functional, beautiful, and well‑cared‑for campus that supports life‑changing ministry and helps people connect deeply with God.

Serve with excellence in stewardship, safety, and a solutions‑oriented mindset.

This is a per diem / on‑call position (non‑guaranteed hours, up to 8–10 hours per week as needed). Availability for short‑notice, emergency, evening, weekend, or holiday calls is important, when possible.

Outcomes Immediately
  • Independently perform professional‑level repairs in drywall (installation, patching, texturing, painting), plumbing (fixture replacement, leak repairs including underground irrigation, drain unclogging), electrical (outlet/switch/fixture replacement, minor troubleshooting), and basic HVAC support (belt changes, capacitor replacement, unit assistance).
  • Contribute effectively to campus refresh, remodel, or improvement projects while maintaining clean/organized work areas.
  • Respond reliably to available on‑call/emergency needs and communicate progress/issues/materials clearly.
  • Respond to assigned urgent repairs, basic handyman tasks, and project support under the direction of the Maintenance Coordinator.
Within 30 days
  • Complete orientation and demonstrate competency in church‑specific safety protocols, tool usage, work order processes, and communication expectations.
Within 60 days
  • Handle a variety of advanced handyman tasks with minimal supervision, delivering high‑quality, safe, and efficient results.
  • Proactively identify potential issues during projects, suggest solutions, and support team members/contractors as needed.
  • Be recognized as a dependable, calm, skilled contributor who enhances facility readiness for ministry with excellence and flexibility.
  • Other tasks as needed.
