RoleWe are looking for an energetic, professional team player with excellent communication skills. Positive attitude to deliver great customer experience and support our mission to create memorable experiences for our guests. Our Engineer II will ensure proper maintenance of the resort through fulfillment of guest requests and ongoing preventative maintenance.
Responsibilities- Regularly engage in performing all types of preventive maintenance, and maintenance of all mechanical and electrical equipment, refrigeration units, air handlers, generators.
- Perform cosmetic repairs and installations of all types of wallpaper, paint, ceiling materials, furniture, and all their associated materials and fixtures.
- Install and repair all types of plumbing fixtures and associated piping.
- File daily log on reporting routine duties and repair requests properly.
- Ensure that all equipment in the physical plant is in good repair.
- Responsible for the implementation of maintenance projects, including, but not limited to replacement of air filters, lubrication of all pumps and motors, replacement of any belts, bearings or other mechanical parts.
- Provide preventative maintenance required by specific equipment manufacturers.
- Respond to any service calls as assigned by the dispatcher.
- Demonstrate ability to operate related equipment.
- Ability to stretch to overhead and hold while on ground or ladder.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Operate and maintain equipment and systems in the most cost and energy efficient manner available.
- Must have effective oral and written English communication skills.
- One year experience in resort maintenance preferred.
- Must have working knowledge of minor power tool operation.
- Ability to lift, pull, and manipulate heavy objects.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stretch most of the working day.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to work in areas containing dust, second hand smoking, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibration and air quality.
- Must be able to operate equipment.
- Must be able to frequently crouch, push, pull, squat, kneel and for the duration of the shift.
- Ability to push/pull up to 50 to 70 pounds constantly.
