Maintenance Technician B
Transdev in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking an experienced B-Level Diesel Mechanic who will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a range of vehicles and equipment, ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity.
CBA Position- $38.14 - $46.68 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)
- Starting pay: $38.14, progressing to $46.68 over 4 years
- Vacation: up to 1 week per year
- Paid Sick Leave: 8 hours monthly for full‑time employees

- Company‑paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool reimbursement
- Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel engine issues
- Perform moderate‑complexity repairs and replacements on diesel engine components, ensuring optimal functionality
- Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to an efficient workflow
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians, assisting them in developing their skills and knowledge
- Other duties as required
- 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- ASE certifications required (ASE certification program provided)
- Proficient with a mechanic’s tool set
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical exam if applicable; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason
- Work outside in varying temperatures, weather, and humidity conditions
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances, on sloped ground or uneven surfaces
- Push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to access equipment stored at ground level
- Work in heavy traffic areas while performing duties; tolerate exposure to dust, vehicle fumes, and noise

- Successfully pass a pre‑employment drug screen and background check
