The aircraft mechanic performs maintenance functions on company aircraft in accordance with company policies, procedures, and federal aviation regulations.
Essential FunctionsThe Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic ("A&P Mechanic") is a working member of the maintenance organization and is tasked with completing required maintenance on aircraft in a timely manner and in accordance with policy and procedure. Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform and assist approved work by leads within the scheduled shift
- Ensure completeness of all assigned work documents and records
- Seek on‑job training during shift to meet and maintain qualification standards
- Operate engine runs and aircraft taxi as authorized by Frontier qualification
- Operate ground support equipment and passenger vehicles within airport operations movement area with required licenses, endorsements, and mobility memoranda
- Coordinate activities with lead mechanic or supervisor
- Research pertinent information and material for scheduled aircraft work
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards of maintenance areas and tools
- Ensure timely completion of aircraft records, logbooks, work cards, and related documents
- Input and enter completed work into maintenance tracking software systems
- Perform duties as assigned and comply with MEL/CDL/NEF, GMM 100 maintenance training and other relevant programs
- Follow published procedures and avoid unauthorized deviations
- Maintain familiarity with training requirements and obtain necessary qualifications within specified time frames
- Interior crew responsibilities: remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft interiors including seats, galleys, lavatories, sidewalls, ceilings, and flooring
This is a bargaining unit position with schedule, shift, and pay determined by seniority. All A&P Mechanics may be required to participate in AOG field trips as outlined in the labor contract.
Qualifications- FAA certifed mechanic with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
- Ability to acquire, hold, and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver license
- Minimum two (2) years of experience performing maintenance on A320 series or larger similar type aircraft: maintenance checks, engine changes, gear changes, structural repairs, flight control rigging, component maintenance, or completion of accredited A&P training program
- Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of line maintenance assignment
- FAA certifed mechanic with Airframe rating
- Minimum two (2) years of maintenance experience on A320 series or larger similar type aircraft covering maintenance checks, engine changes, landing gear replacement, structural repairs, flight control rigging, and component maintenance
- Obtain taxi and run‑up qualification on all aircraft types within six months of line maintenance assignment
- Ability to complete differences training

- Perform strenuous physical work involving objects in excess of 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently
