• Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as walks, sidewalks, roads or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
• Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutter.
• Patch voids.
• Utilize saws to cut expansion joints.
• Check forms that hold the concrete to ensure that they are properly constructed.
• Set and align the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth.
• Spread, level & smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed and float.
• Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
• Monitor how wind, heat or cold affect the curing of the concrete throughout the entire process.
• Produce rough concrete surface using broom‑operated power vibrator to compact concrete.
• Sprinkle colored marble or stone chips, powdered steel, or coloring powder over the surface to produce a desired design or pattern.
• Cut metal division strips and press them into terrazzo base to form desired design or pattern.
• Fabricate concrete beams, columns, and panels.
• Install anchor bolts, steel plate door sills and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete and pattern or stamp the surface to provide a decorative finish.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Strong work ethic
• Knowledge of blueprints
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

• Ability to load/unload trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if operating company‑provided vehicles)
• Possess strong stamina and have the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
• Able to safely operate landscaping equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers, edgers)
• Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, stand, walk continuously throughout the day and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Able to perform manual labor using a variety of hand tools (e.g., shovels, rakes)
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (e.g., safety shoes, high‑visibility clothing, hand protection, eye protection, hearing protection, head protection)
• Landscapers who will be operating a Bright View fleet vehicle must have a valid driver’s license and meet company standards related to motor‑vehicle performance as identified on a state‑issued motor‑vehicle record check
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays if needed
• Maintain required medications in possession at all times to address any known allergic reactions should they occur
