Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots customer machine problems in person or over the phone to successful resolution.
• Generates orders for required parts needed.
• Travels as required to end users to perform service.
• Handles and processes returned service parts.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machines as time allows.
• Assists distributors in installing new machines and machine upgrades.
• Submits activity reports and other required documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

• One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Electronics knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints & schematics.
• Ability to use computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel).
• Even temperament with customers and coworkers.
• Good verbal & written communication skills.
• Logical thinking.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
