Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician
Walmart is hiring a Supermarket Rack Refrigeration HVAC Technician to support and oversee repair of Walmart facility refrigeration and HVAC equipment. The role requires commercial HVAC and refrigeration skill sets, and the use of hand, digital, and power tools to complete jobs.
Minimum Qualifications- 2 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance
- Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience
- Type I/Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification for refrigerant handling
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification (or equivalent experience)
- Maintain and repair Walmart facility refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive and document repair work orders for stores and store associates.
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations through proper practices and procedures.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
