The Field Process Manager – Low‑Slope / Sheet Metal Installation leads TORC’s Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal field operations, overseeing the execution of low‑slope roofing systems and architectural sheet metal installation. The role ensures projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while maintaining strict adherence to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards.
Essential Functions- Field Leadership
- Lead all Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal installation operations, including low‑slope roofing systems, architectural sheet metal installations, standing seam systems, coping metal, and wall panel installations.
- Supervise and mentor Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal superintendents.
- Ensure consistent installation practices and monitor field productivity.
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Coordinate scheduling with Project Managers.
- Ensure jobsite readiness prior to crew mobilization.
- Coordinate equipment needs and identify scheduling conflicts early.
- Improve jobsite workflow efficiency.
- Installation Quality & Technical Standards
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications, contract scope, and TORC quality standards.
- Conduct jobsite inspections and review installation procedures.
- Support superintendent troubleshooting and maintain consistent quality across crews.
- Safety Leadership
- Enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
- Conduct safety inspections and lead incident investigations.
- Coordinate safety training with the Safety Manager.
- Margin Protection & Field Efficiency
- Monitor field productivity versus labor budgets.
- Identify inefficiencies and support operational improvements.
- Coordinate with purchasing and estimating when issues arise.
- Superintendent Development
- Coach and mentor superintendents.
- Support training and certification programs.
- Identify leadership development opportunities and manage performance expectations.
- Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal project schedule adherence

Work EnvironmentOffice environment (~15% of time) and jobsites (~85% of time) where temperatures can exceed 110°F and noise levels are elevated.
Physical DemandsWalk for long periods, lift a minimum of 50 lbs, climb ladders, endure outdoor elements and heights, and maintain balance on sloped surfaces.
Employment InformationFull‑time salaried leadership position. Standard work hours Monday through Friday; additional time may be required.
PreferredEducation and Experience
High School diploma or GED; college an advantage but not required.
LanguagesBilingual preferred (English/Spanish).
Required Qualifications- 8+ years of Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal roofing experience.
- Experience with low‑slope roofing systems and architectural sheet metal installation.
- Proven field leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of construction scheduling.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience managing multiple Low‑Slope & Sheet Metal crews.
- Knowledge of manufacturer installation requirements.
