Journeyman Electrician

Company Description Salmon Electrical Contractors is a leading electrical contractor in Las Vegas, NV and Tempa AZ areas.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician . In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure safety, compliance with electrical codes, and efficient operation of electrical infrastructure. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites and industrial facilities, utilizing your technical skills to deliver high-quality electrical solutions.

• Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings using schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to execute precise installations and repairs.
• Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues accurately.
• Work with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and high voltage equipment following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
• Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects, framing carpentry tasks, and general handyman duties as needed.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Assist in training apprentices or less experienced team members when necessary to promote a safe and knowledgeable work culture.

• Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
• Extensive experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical installations.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment essential for electrical troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of NEC standards for high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Experience working on construction sites with exposure to renovation projects and framing carpentry tasks.
• Familiarity with schematics reading, and low voltage wiring is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety protocols including working with high voltage systems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
• Prior handyman experience or construction background is a plus; excellent problem-solving skills are essential.
