Mobile Diesel Technician

Mobile Diesel Mechanic Put your diesel expertise to work in the field. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic with Spiffy, you'll work independently servicing light-to-medium commercial fleets including MB Sprinters, Ford F-250 through F-650, Isuzu NPRs, and similar platform with the autonomy of a field tech and the support of a full team behind you.

Mobile Diesel Mechanic Put your diesel expertise to work in the field. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic with Spiffy, you'll work independently servicing light-to-medium commercial fleets including MB Sprinters, Ford F-250 through F-650, Isuzu NPRs, and similar platform with the autonomy of a field tech and the support of a full team behind you. Your day-to-day: preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs across a real variety of vehicles and clients.

You'll own the communication between customers and internal teams, keeping everything compliant and on schedule. No shop politics. Just you, a fully equipped van, and the work. This role works in all weather conditions, so if you thrive outdoors and bring strong teamwork, reliable attendance, and great communication, we'd love to have you on the Spiffy team.

• Competitive Weekly Pay Range $30-$40/hr. (30+ hours, non-flat rate)
• Shift: 8am-5pm
• No decrease in hourly rate when driving from site to site during workday

• Perform mobile diagnostics, multi-point inspections and repairs on fleet gas/diesel engines and related components.
• Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, explaining services performed, and recommending additional maintenance as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.

• Familiarity with diagnostic and repair manuals such as Pro Demand.
• Proven experience as a Gas and Diesel Mechanic, with a strong understanding of light to medium to heavy duty vehicle systems and components.
• Must supply your own basic tools
• Must be patient, persistent, and possess problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to challenging repairs.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license with the ability to drive; CDL preferred
• Must be 18 years or older

ASE certification(s) (shows you went above and beyond your work experience to gain more industry knowledge)

Previous diesel experience in a mobile capacity (you’ve been exposed to different servicing sites, are adaptable to your surroundings, and enjoy being on-the-go during your workday)
