Maintenance Technician - Las Vegas

Job Description

Under general supervision, safely performs advanced and expert level diagnoses, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and reconditioning in compliance with company policies.

• Performs advanced‑level functions in the maintenance and repair of the facility, including building, grounds, lighting, plumbing, HVAC, and more.
• Follow and comply with all safety standards (Lock Out, Electrical Arc Flash, Fall Protection, etc.).
• Provide leadership, training, and assistance to lower‑level technicians.
• Create and manage job assignments, preventive maintenance schedules, TPM events, and maintenance work orders.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, replace, and install electrical DC and AC controls; power distribution and electrical installations.
• Diagnose and correct equipment problems with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs); drive improvements to equipment controls and work with the team to implement changes.
• Develop, create, and maintain all electrical documentation.
• Program and modify PLC programs; troubleshoot and set up Ethernet I/O.
• Implement and repair equipment electrical safety controls.
• Work from complex drawings, blueprints, worksheets, and other related documents.
• Perform advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and perform various hot‑work tasks.
• Order supplies and repair items as necessary.
• Recommend and lay out wires, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and other machinery to NFPA/NEC standards.
• Maintain the grounds and building exterior by performing routine electrical, mechanical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
• Set up and operate equipment used to make and repair parts, such as lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience:
  
  5+ years in industrial maintenance/controls.
• Education:
  
  Associate’s Degree in Industrial Controls, Industrial Maintenance, or related field.
• Proficiency in trade math, precision measuring instruments, and office PC skills (Excel).
• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, solid‑state, and PLC systems.
• Experience with PLC control software and spare‑part inventory processes.
• Familiarity with AC/DC VFD, Flux Vector, Servo, and Stepper motors and drives.
• Ability to work independently and interpret complex drawings and technical documentation.
