Electrical Maintenance Supervisor
The Clark County Department of Aviation is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Electrical Maintenance Supervisor position. This position plans, supervises, directs, trains, and reviews the work of skilled, semi-skilled, and support staff performing journey-level electrical and electronic installation, maintenance, and repair of series wired airfield lighting and related systems, as well as navigational aids. This includes installing infrastructure to support said systems and maintenance and repair of support systems such as emergency generators and automatic transfer switches, uninterrupted power supplies, fire alarm systems, and medium voltage switch gear.
This role ensures Part 139 compliance by following all FAA Advisory Circular requirements, as well as NEC, NFPA, and OSHA requirements. Further, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to successfully operate equipment in the Movement Area while effectively communicating with the FAA tower and/or pilots during times when the towers are closed at the County's General Aviation Airports. This recruitment is limited to the first 150 applications received and will close without notice once that number is reached.
This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility List to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Employee Services. Minimum RequirementsEducation and Experience:
Equivalent to graduation from high school AND nine (9) years of journey-level experience in the electrical trade, including a minimum of one (1) year lead or supervisory experience. Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician may be substituted for four (4) years of the required experience.
Experience with electronic controls required. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Work extended shifts or be called back outside of normal working hours. Licensing and Certification:
Possession of a valid Class C Nevada driver's license at time of appointment. Electrician Journeyman licensure. Specified positions may require certification for the State of Nevada "F" Fire Alarm/Protection System installation and maintenance OR Master Electrician licensure. Medical Examination:
Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician. Pre-Employment Drug Testing:

Permanent employees must maintain a principal place of residency within the boundaries of Clark County and provide proof of compliance with Nevada motor vehicle registration and drivers' license laws within 90 days of employment. Citizenship:
