Role DescriptionThe Water Mitigation Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Las Vegas, NV. This position is responsible for responding to water damage emergencies, assessing affected areas, and setting up and monitoring equipment such as dehumidifiers and air movers to ensure proper drying. Day-to-day tasks include extracting water, removing damaged materials as needed, documenting work performed with photos and notes, and maintaining accurate job records.
The technician will interact with property owners and team members, follow safety protocols, and adhere to company and industry standards. The role may involve working evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts depending on emergency needs.
- Ability to safely operate water extraction tools, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other mitigation equipment.
- Strong attention to detail for documenting damage, completing job paperwork, and following step-by-step procedures.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with customers, supervisors, and team members in stressful situations.
- Physical ability to lift and move equipment and materials, work in confined spaces, and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites in the Las Vegas area.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including potential evenings, weekends, and rotating on-call shifts.
- Prior experience in water mitigation, restoration, construction, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with safety practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and basic knowledge of building structures is beneficial.
