A Helper Mechanic in a commercial laundry setting assists with the maintenance, repair, and operation of industrial laundry equipment, working under the guidance of a senior mechanic. This role involves tasks like disassembling, inspecting, and reassembling machines, replacing parts, and assisting with repairs and maintenance.

Working under the supervision of a senior mechanic, a helper mechanic will assist with routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs on commercial laundry equipment.

Operating and maintaining various laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, presses, and conveyors, ensuring they function efficiently.

Replacing worn or defective parts, assisting with installation of new equipment, and ensuring proper alignment and adjustment of machinery.

Performing routine inspections of equipment to identify potential problems, cleaning parts and work areas, and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.

Assisting with the preparation of service reports, documenting repairs, and maintaining accurate records of equipment maintenance.

Performing other duties as assigned, which may include assisting with installation, troubleshooting, or general maintenance tasks within the laundry facility.

Adhering to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others.
