Position;
Mechanic/Parts Installer

Description:

Vehicle maintenance and repairs. Provides service and delivery of vehicles with exceptional service to customers. The technician may work independently or in a team environment.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform Vehicle Maintenance: change oil oil filter fuel filter transmission flush and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.

Performs some more complex repairs advanced diagnostics engine and driveline diagnosis and parts replacement and some fabrication.

Based upon certification levels perform various repairs and maintenance which may include diagnosis and repair of: OBD II systems brake components tires tune-ups suspension components electrical systems State Safety Inspections interior/exterior components engine and drive line components etc.

Perform a predefined inspection and light to moderate mechanical repairs to a vehicle.

What You'll Do:
  • Perform preventive maintenance services (PMs) including oil changes filter replacement fluid checks and inspections.
  • Safely disconnect remove and secure high-voltage battery packs from Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles.
  • Follow all established high-voltage electrical safety procedures lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues on gas and diesel vehicles.
  • Conduct repairs on engines transmissions brakes suspension steering and HVAC systems.
  • Replace parts and components according to manufacturer specifications and shop standards.
  • Perform light fabrication welding or modifications when needed.
  • Use scan tools diagnostic software and testing equipment to identify vehicle faults.
  • Accurately troubleshoot drivability issues electrical problems and intermittent concerns.
  • Determine root causes of failures and recommend effective repair solutions.
  • Escalate highly complex or unusual issues to senior technicians while assisting in diagnosis.

  • Working independently or in a team environment.
  • Performing advanced diagnostics.
  • Clutch and transmission replacement.
  • Identifying required parts and partner with our parts & procurement teams to acquire necessary parts supplies and materials.
  • Alerting team lead and/or management about difficult issues patterns and trends.
  • May upfit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • May be required to perform OEM recalls.
