Job Title: Electrical Foreman

Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Per Diem: $770 per week

Job Description

This role leads and oversees complex electrical installations across high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems on a large-scale industrial project. The Electrical Foreman coordinates field crews, ensures safe and efficient execution of underground and above-ground conduit work, and manages cable pulling, cable tray, and switch gear installations. The position requires hands‑on leadership in a remote industrial environment, with responsibility for guiding crews through installation, startup, and commissioning activities while working from hard copy drawings.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage electrical installations for high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage systems on an industrial site.

  • Direct underground conduit installation activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.

  • Lead above-ground conduit installation, including planning, layout, and quality control of rigid conduit runs.

  • Supervise cable pulling operations with a crew of approximately 12 wire pullers, ensuring safe and efficient work practices.

  • Manage cable tray installations, including routing, support systems, and coordination with other trades.

  • Coordinate and oversee switch gear installation work, ensuring correct placement, alignment, and connections.

  • Provide clear instruction and on‑job training to crew members on wire pulling and cable installation techniques.

  • Oversee electrical startup activities, including verification of terminations, continuity, and system readiness.

  • Review and interpret hard copy drawings provided by the superintendent, and translate them into executable field plans.

  • Verify proper terminations of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage circuits and ensure adherence to standards.

  • Apply basic instrumentation knowledge as needed to support electrical installation and startup work.

  • Organize daily work assignments, allocate tasks to crew members, and monitor progress against schedule.

  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring all crew members follow safe work practices in a remote outdoor environment.

  • Collaborate with supervision and other crafts to coordinate work sequencing and resolve field issues.

  • Ensure tools, equipment, and precision instruments such as optic levels and laser levels are used correctly and maintained properly.

Essential Skills
  • Extensive experience with high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems.

  • Proven ability to direct underground conduit installation work in an industrial setting.

  • Proven ability to direct above-ground conduit installation, including rigid conduit.

  • Hands‑on experience with cable tray installation and routing in industrial facilities.

  • Strong knowledge of switch gear installation and associated electrical connections.

  • Ability to install rigid conduit accurately and efficiently.

  • Demonstrated experience pulling cable and overseeing wire pulling operations.

  • Proficiency in terminations of high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage circuits.

  • Experience overseeing at least 12 crew members at a time in the field.

  • At least 10 years of experience acting as a foreman in an electrical foreman role.

  • Ability to read, understand, and work from hard copy drawings provided by a superintendent.

  • Some instrumentation knowledge applicable to industrial electrical work.

  • Strong teamwork mindset and ability to function effectively as part of a larger project team.

  • Heavy industrial experience with experience on large, complex industrial sites.
