Field Technician I (Physical Layer Specialist)

We have Level 1 & Level 2 role.

Focus:
Execution, Physical Installation, and Validation.

• Experience:
  
  0–2 Years.
• Data Center:  Rack and Stack  operations. Physically installs servers, switches, and storage. Understands Hot/Cold aisle containment and asset tagging.
• Cabling: Proficient in copper (CAT6/A) termination, professional cable dressing (combing), and labeling. Follows rack elevation drawings with high precision.
• Wi-Fi: Performs physical AP mounting and cable pulling. Conducts  passive  site surveys (walking a pre-defined path with a sensor).
• Construction & Facilities:
  Assembly of racks and aisle containment. Routine visual inspections of cooling/power units. Adheres to  Clean Build  and OSHA protocols.
• Tooling: Basic use of cable verifiers (Link Sprinter), power drills, and label makers.
• Communication/ Documentation: Provides clear, concise updates to team leads and managers regarding physical layer build progress and project blockers . Able to ask clarifying questions in a concise and timely manner. Notes specific equipment details, serial numbers, and port locations without errors. Delivers organized, written summaries of incomplete tasks to incoming shifts to prevent dropped work.
