Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
GRABO | Las Vegas, NV | On-site (warehouse / workshop)
GRABO builds patented electric suction cup tools used for material handling, mounting, installation, stabilization, and vacuum work. We need a hands‑on technician to own warranty intake, diagnosis, repair, and customer communication from our Las Vegas shop.
This is a workshop role, not a desk job. You will spend most of the day at a bench and on the warehouse floor, taking tools apart, finding the real problem, fixing them correctly, and documenting everything so customers and the rest of the team can trust the result.
What you’ll do- Receive, inspect, photograph, and log incoming warranty and repair units (serial numbers, condition, claimed issue, photos)
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, vacuum, seal, battery, and motor issues on GRABO tools
- Repair, rebuild, or replace parts to a consistent quality standard
- Test repaired units before they go back out (function, suction, safety, cosmetics)
- Determine warranty vs. billable repair and explain that decision clearly
- Talk with customers, dealers, and internal staff about status, timelines, and next steps
- Maintain repair tickets, parts usage, and claim records so nothing gets lost
- Keep the bench, parts bins, tools, and work area organized
- Track spare parts and flag shortages before they stop repairs
- Report repeat failures and quality patterns to operations / product
- Support warehouse flow when needed (receiving RMAs, packing returns, staging replacements)
- Follow battery, electrical, and shop safety procedures
- Hands‑on experience repairing tools, equipment, electronics, appliances, or similar products
- Comfort working in a warehouse / tool‑shop environment
- Practical mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills (multimeter, basic wiring, motors, seals, fasteners)
- Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and parts lists
- Strong organization — you keep tickets, parts, and units tracked
- Clear, professional customer service skills (phone, email, and in person)
- Ability to work independently, prioritize a queue, and finish what you start
- Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, photos, simple ticketing or inventory systems)
- Ability to stand most of the day and lift up to 50 lbs
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school, military electronics/mechanical training, or trade experience is a plus
- Warranty, RMA, or service‑center experience
- Battery‑powered tool or vacuum equipment background
- Light engineering / technician background (root‑cause thinking, not just swapping parts)
- Soldering or board‑level repair
- Experience giving product‑quality feedback to a manufacturing or engineering team
- Bilingual English / Spanish
Someone who likes fixing things the right way, keeps a clean bench, treats customers like they matter, and can tell the difference between “user issue,” “wear item,” and “real product problem.”
