Position Overview
Accessible Space Inc. (ASI) is a national nonprofit organization that provides housing to individuals with physical disabilities, seniors and veterans. ASI is seeking a Housing Services Coordinator for our building in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate will assist residents in maintaining the highest level of independence, safety, and self-sufficiency possible while improving their quality of life while in ASI housing.
Responsibilities- Assist residents in maintaining independence, safety, self-sufficiency, and quality of life.
- Provide general case management and referral services to residents in need of such assistance.
- Develop and maintain a directory of community resources to provide information and referral services to all residents.
- Monitor changing needs of residents and work with them to identify, secure, and coordinate additional services.
- Provide van service to residents: establish van service ride schedules, track all ridership, assist in loading and unloading passengers/wheelchairs, ensure passengers/wheelchairs are properly secured, safely transport residents in the community, and service the van according to established service schedules.
- One year of successful experience in the operations and/or management of affordable/supportive multifamily housing (e.g. leasing, compliance, resident relations, resident services, coordinating resident activities and training, and other administrative tasks related to affordable/supportive housing operations management).
- Demonstrated knowledge of local, state, and federal entitlement programs, supportive services, and community resources appropriate to the resident population, including low income seniors, persons with disabilities, and U.S. Veterans.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of supportive services and community resources appropriate to the resident population.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, prioritize, problem-solve, and achieve appropriate outcomes for the resident population.
- Current driver's license and acceptable three‑year driving record.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of the aging process, elder services, disability services, and eligibility requirements/procedures related to federal and state programs, and understanding of HUD Housing guidelines—all a plus.
