Hourly Wage Estimate: $32.21 - $45.11 per hour.

Job Summary

The Social Worker (MSW) is responsible for non‑clinical, biopsychosocial assessments and interventions on inpatient floors and the outpatient emergency department. The MSW performs crisis intervention, patient/family interventions, high‑risk screening, emotional support, referrals for financial assistance, and assists with post‑acute care placement, family care conferences, and discharge planning. The role includes coordination with intensive care units, trauma, oncology, NICU, transplant, ED, and response to physician consults.

Responsibilities
  • Interview patients and families to obtain relevant bio‑psychosocial information.
  • Develop and implement a social‑work treatment plan, including discharge planning and insurance utilization review.
  • Utilize appropriate treatment modalities (individual, family, group) and provide counseling on family problems, coping, trauma, and grief.
  • Participate in the multidisciplinary team for case and family conferences, interpreting psychosocial aspects for staff.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work required.
  • 1+ year of experience or MSW internship required.
  • Registered Master of Social Work license in the state of practice (required in Nevada).
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required.
  • Certification in Social Work required.
