Position: PUBLIC ART CONSERVATOR

About The Position The Clark County Parks & Recreation Department is seeking qualified candidates to apply for the Public Art Conservator position. As a member of the our team you will play a vital role in preserving, maintaining, and enhancing our city’s diverse collection of public artworks. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with artists, community stakeholders and internal departments to ensure the long-term care and integrity of art in public spaces.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the preservation, assessment and treatment of public artworks; developing and implementing maintenance plans; responding to emergencies or damages; collaborating with artists, stakeholders, partner agencies and ensuring that all conservation practices meet the highest professional and ethical standards. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources.

Human Resources reserves the right to call only the most qualified applicants to the selection process.

THIS RECRUITMENT IS LIMITED TO THE FIRST 250 APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AND WILL CLOSE WITHOUT NOTICE ONCE THAT NUMBER IS REACHED. This examination will establish an Open Competitive Eligibility list to fill current and/or future vacancies that may occur within the next six (6) months or may be extended as needed by Human Resources. Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience:

Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Art Conservation, Fine Arts, Material Science, or a related field. Professional level experience in art conservation or restoration may be substituted on a year-for-year basis up to two (2) years. All qualifying education and each experience must be clearly documented in the “Education” and “Work Experience” sections of the application. Do not substitute a resume for your application or write "see attached resume" on your application.

Working Conditions:

Attend meetings or public art functions outside of normal working hours. May work outdoors in hazardous conditions. Background Investigation:
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation. Periodically after employment background investigations may be conducted. Citizenship:
