The Community Victim Care Coordinator is responsible for providing direct support and coordinating trauma-informed victim services for LGBTQ individuals impacted by violence, crime, discrimination, or interpersonal harm.

This role supports the consistent delivery of victim services through client support, referral coordination, documentation, and collaboration with internal teams and external partners.

The coordinator maintains accurate records, supports compliance with grant and regulatory requirements, and supports the delivery of services that are accessible, responsive, and aligned with established protocols.

The position is focused on day-to-day service delivery and coordination, requiring strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex situations while maintaining high standards of care. This full-time, Monday through Friday role, requires on-site presence at The Center.

• Provide trauma-informed, client-centered support including crisis intervention, safety planning, emotional support, and resource navigation
• Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate, confidential client records in compliance with regulatory and grant standards
• Facilitate warm handoffs and referrals to internal and external services including behavioral health, housing, medical care, and legal advocacy

• Maintain and support referral relationships with shelters, legal services, healthcare providers, and advocacy organizations
• Coordinate communication and follow-up with partners to support client access to services
• Support multi-agency collaboration for client care as needed

• Support grant-related activities including documentation, reporting, and compliance tracking
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry for program metrics, demographics, and service delivery
• Follow established procedures to ensure alignment with funding requirements (VOCA, VAWA, JAG, etc.)
• Flag service gaps, client needs, or compliance concerns to leadership

• Participate in outreach and education efforts to increase awareness of services
• Represent The Center in community meetings, coalitions, or events as assigned
• Support efforts to build trust and increase access to services

• Strong ties to Clark County and understanding of local service systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends

• Applies a deep understanding of trauma, including its impact on behavior, decision-making, and engagement. Maintains appropriate boundaries while providing empathetic, survivor-centered support.

• Demonstrates strong awareness of LGBTQ identities and intersectionality, including race, gender identity, immigration status, and socioeconomic factors. Adjusts approach to meet diverse client needs.

• Maintains accurate documentation and ensures adherence to grant, legal, and organizational standards. Understands the importance of audit readiness and data integrity.

• Builds trust with clients, colleagues, and partners. Communicates clearly and professionally across diverse audiences, including individuals in crisis.
