The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to serve as the technical authority for our core booking flow. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on the guest-facing journey—from the moment a fan clicks "Ticket + Hotel Packages" on an official event site to the final confirmation page.
You will be responsible for the performance, reliability, and feature set of our Next.js booking engine, ensuring that our dynamic pricing and availability remain seamless even during high-traffic on-sales for events serving hundreds of thousands of simultaneous guests.
What You’ll Do- Own the Booking Journey
:
Lead full-stack development of a complex checkout flow that includes installment plans, seat selection, and purchase protection offers. - Power the Backend
:
Scale our package pricing and availability engine using Python and Rails
, integrating with internal microservices and external supplier APIs. - Infrastructure & Scale
:
Coordinate with our infra team to manage deployments across AWS and Kubernetes
, ensuring our queuing and timer logic can handle massive demand spikes. - Data-Driven Optimization
:
Work with our data stack (Postgres, Snowflake, Amplitude, Posthog) to implement A/B tests and analytics tracking that refine the traveler conversion funnel. - Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with our Product and CX teams to ensure the Traveler Portal and booking flow provide a cohesive self-serve experience for our fans.
- Frontend
:
Expert-level experience with React and Next.js
. - Backend
:
Deep proficiency in Python and/or Ruby on Rails
. - Infrastructure
:
Comfort working with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS). - Database/Analytics
:
Familiarity with Postgres/Redis and event-tracking via Amplitude, Posthog, or GTM

:
Experience with Mapbox, payment integrations (Affirm, Stripe), venue ticketing & seating systems, or travel/OTA inventory systems.

: 5+ years of professional experience, with a proven track record of maintaining high-traffic web applications. - Product-Minded
