About This Job The Lead Software Engineer, Out Systems is a highly driven senior technical contributor and team lead responsible for architecting, building, and governing high-quality Out Systems applications that support critical banking operations. This role demands deep platform expertise, a strong curiosity about underlying business processes, and the ability to bridge technical execution with business stakeholder needs. You will work hands-on across both Out Systems 11 (O11) and Out Systems Developer Cloud (ODC), guiding a team of developers, setting coding and architecture standards, and ensuring delivery meets the security, performance, and compliance standards required in a regulated financial services environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Technical Design & Architecture Lead the design and architecture of Out Systems applications using the 4-Layer Canvas (O11) and ODC domain-driven design patterns.

Identify non-functional requirements, integration needs, and common style guides across all Out Systems applications in the portfolio.

Assess existing applications for performance, architecture quality, and adherence to best practices; recommend and implement improvements.

Hands-On Full-Stack Development Develop complex Out Systems web and mobile applications in both O11 (Service Studio, Integration Studio) and ODC (ODC Studio, ODC Portal) environments.

Build and maintain REST/SOAP integrations with core banking systems, trading platforms, CRM solutions, and third-party financial services APIs.Extend Out Systems with C#/.NET when platform-native capabilities are insufficient for the required solution.

Implement responsive UI/UX using Out Systems UI frameworks, Angular, or React as applicable; adhere to accessibility and brand standards.

Technical Leadership & Mentoring Conduct structured code reviews; provide actionable, constructive feedback aligned to Out Systems architecture best practices and secure coding standards.

Mentor junior and mid-level developers; actively support team members' Out Systems certification journeys (Associate through Professional/Architect levels).Lead technical grooming sessions, design reviews, and solution walkthroughs with development, architecture, and QA teams.

Act as the Out Systems subject-matter expert (SME) for platform queries, escalations, and architectural decisions within the team.

Dev Ops, Performance & Delivery Manage application deployments via Life Time (O11) and ODC Portal, including environment promotion, hotfix management, and rollback procedures.

Collaborate with Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  teams on CI/CD pipeline integration and infrastructure-as-code practices for Out Systems applications.

Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, memory issues, and integration failures using Out Systems performance profiling and monitoring tools.

Participate in release planning, sprint ceremonies, and capacity estimation; support multi-team or dual-shore delivery environments when applicable.

Technical Competencies Out Systems  Platform Mastery:
Deep O11 expertise and working ODC knowledge; able to guide platform evolution and migration decisions.

Full-Stack Depth:
Extends Out Systems with C#/.NET, SQL, and front-end frameworks when the platform requires it — not just a low-code developer.
