Shipper, General Labor

Responsibilities

• Ensure all shipments receive proper labeling and are packaged to arrive safely.
• Check items to be shipped against work orders/packing slips.
• Process orders in company database.
• Review and maintain proper inventory level of packaging.
• Receive and unload incoming materials and compare information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory that is shipped or received.
• Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
• Perform inventory cycle counts and update company database.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Shipping or warehouse experience.
• Inventory control experience.
• Able to operate power equipment, forklift, and general hand tools.
• Experience with expandable foam packing equipment.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
