Position: Global 6500 Instructor Pilot
Description

As a Global 6500 Instructor Pilot at CAE, you will play a vital role in developing confident, proficient pilots through high‑quality simulator and ground school instruction. You will guide clients through their training while upholding CAE's standards of safety, professionalism, and aviation excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

* Deliver flight simulator and ground school training in accordance with regulatory agency requirements, CAE‑approved curriculum, and customer needs.

* Act as a subject matter expert (SME) and lead clients throughout their assigned training.

* Provide simulator, flight, and classroom instruction for licenses, type ratings, internal training, certificates, and pilot qualifications.

* Conduct thorough, professional pre‑ and post‑flight simulator briefings.

* Complete administrative tasks including training records, qualification tracking, and recommending remedial training when appropriate.

* Contribute to curriculum and courseware development as an SME.

* After approximately 1.5+ years (subject to business needs), qualify as a Training Center Evaluator (TCE) and customer contract check airman.

* Meet physical requirements such as:

* Hand/eye coordination and fine motor skills.

* Ability to sit in confined spaces for 4-6 hours.

* Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours).

* Ability to sit, stoop, climb, twist, and turn as part of regular tasks.

Training for this role may include international travel and extended stays.

Relocation assistance is available if local candidates are not found.

Minimum Qualifications

* High School diploma or state‑issued equivalent (Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred).

* 2-5 years of relevant professional experience.

* Previous experience teaching or training others (preferred).

* Demonstrated customer‑service orientation.

* Must be authorized to live/work in the United States.

* Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and internet‑based applications.

* Ability to participate in CAE's DOT Anti‑Drug & Alcohol testing program.

* Hold or have previously held a professional pilot's license.

Preferred Qualifications

* Existing instructor qualification or aircraft type rating.

* FAR Part 135 experience.

* 3,000+ hours of total flight time.

* Unrestricted Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with at least one unrestricted PIC type rating.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills.

* Ability to create a positive and effective learning environment.

* Demonstrated ability to tailor training to diverse customer needs.

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate and timely records.

Internal Candidates:

Ideal candidates are in good standing and TCE‑qualified on the Global 6500, or currently a TCE on another platform.
