About the RoleAs a First Officer at JSX, youll be at the controls of one of the most innovative aviation experiences in the industry. Your mission is to operate our aircraft safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with all regulations, all while delivering exceptional service to every flight. With typical schedules averaging 3-5 legs per day over 14-16 days per month, we prioritize work-life balance and strive to return you to your home base every night.
ADay in the Life Pre-Flight Preparation
Your day begins one hour prior to departure, giving you ample time to:
- Review key flight details in Traxxall, including maintenance status, NOTAMs, fuel loads, weather conditions, and routing.
- Collaborate with the Captain to discuss departure and arrival strategies, including diversion planning if needed.
- Perform all required pre-flight checks, safety procedures, and flows to ensure the aircraft is clear.
- Operating the aircraft in full compliance with FAA regulations, JSX SOPs, and industry safety standards.
- Maintain real-time communication with Mission Control (Dispatch), Ground Operations, ATC, and your Flight Attendant.
- Serve as the secondary voice to the Captain in decision-making, ready to act quickly and confidently in dynamic conditions.
- Assist with quick turn tasks, including light cabin tidying: clean tray tables, cross seatbelts, collect trash, and support the Flight Attendant as needed to ensure an on-time departure.
- Log any maintenance in Traxxall and communicate critical updates to Mission Control
- Participating in recurrent training and performance evaluations to maintain proficiency and grow in your career.
- Step in to assist with baggage handling or other duties at smaller airports where ground support is limited.
- Consistently represent JSX with the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and Customer, both in and out of the flight deck.

- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 2500 total flight hours
- Minimum 500 multi-engine hours
- Minimum 100 hours within the last 12 months
- No FAA violations/accidents/incidents/suspensions
- No significant training/check ride failures
- 3000+ total time
- Turbine aircraft experience
- Valid FAA Pilot Certificate appropriate to the aircraft and operating position held.
- Current and valid Drivers license and Passport
- Current and valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate
- Current and valid ATP or Commercial Multi-Engine Certificate
- Current and valid FCC Radio Operators Permit
Compensation throughout training is $150.00 (+per diem) daily, which goes up to $259.00 (+ per diem) daily on the line. You are guaranteed a 14-day minimum per month salary. For additional pay, you are eligible for Productivity Pay and quarterly bonuses.
