Reports To: Donation Center Director

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Hours: Monday, Friday and Saturday from 7:00am - 5:30pm

Salary Range: $16.00 - $17.00 / hr

Job Summary

The Donation Center Driver is responsible for safely operating company vehicles to complete scheduled donation pickups, deliver goods to partner locations, and provide excellent customer service to donors. This role requires independence, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate company vehicles, including a 16-foot box truck, in a safe and professional manner.
  • Complete scheduled donation pickups from residential, commercial, and corporate donors.
  • Load, secure, transport, and offload donated items while preventing damage.
  • Provide courteous, professional customer service and issue accurate donation receipts.
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation.
  • Deliver donations to partner locations (including Savers) and verify paperwork accuracy.
  • Follow all Safe Nest and partner procedures during offloading and processing.
  • Operate material-handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks (forklift experience a plus).
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicles.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and required PPE standards.
  • Support general donation center operations as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Valid Nevada driver’s license with a clean DMV record (minimum 3 years).
  • Minimum age of 25.
  • Ability to safely operate a 16-foot box truck or similar vehicle.
  • At least 1 year of relevant driving, delivery, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to obtain forklift certification.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must pass background screening and drug testing.

  • Must have adequate near, midrange, far, and color vision, as well as depth perception.
  • Work is performed in varied environments, including outdoors and warehouse settings.
  • Exposure to weather extremes, dust, noise, fumes, moving mechanical parts, and other environmental conditions.
