CDL Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and verify inventory accuracy.
• Ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries and assess job site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement and document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Load and unload materials with forklifts or manually, handling up to 100 lbs.
• Work in varied weather and noisy environments while reading job‑related documents in English.
• Maintain safety protocols, high service standards, and operate within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays.
• Coordinate on‑site activities and provide occasional yard support.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Physical ability to handle up to 100 lbs and operate forklifts safely.
• Age 18+ (21 for interstate or hazmat endorsements).
• Successful background checks, drug screening, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• 1–2 years of relevant commercial driving experience.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries and fleet‑management systems.
• Multilingual abilities and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Crane certification is a plus.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or CDL
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate (required).
• Forklift Certification (preferred).
• FMCSA Registration (required).
• Demonstrated safety compliance through inspections and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations.

CDL Drivers manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varied weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role requires adaptability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
