Warehouse Associate

Established in 2006, Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD) is a subsidiary of GSF and a custom last‑mile distribution company serving selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD provides more than 37,000 deliveries per week from 25 distribution centers and averages over 40 million miles driven annually. QCD associates help run the GSF Foundation, a national non‑profit.

You’ll be a key player in our warehouse team, helping to move, manage, and deliver products efficiently and safely. You will work in a fast‑paced, multi‑temperature environment, focused on accuracy, teamwork, and safety. Your work includes receiving goods, staging inventory, and shipping orders on time.

• Safely operate material handling equipment: pallet jacks and forklifts (forklift certification required).
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and verify order accuracy and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company standards.
• Use warehouse technology (RF scanners, inventory systems) to track orders and inventory.
• Follow QIP and sanitation policies and safety protocols.

• Load and unload trailers efficiently and safely.
• Secure pallets for shipment and verify shipping documentation.
• Assist dock operations, including staging and organizing shipments.

• Use handheld scanners to pick and pack customer orders accurately.
• Conduct cycle counts and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow FEFO (First Expired, First Out) procedures for food products.

• Comfort working in varying temperatures, including freezer and cooler environments.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork skills, and commitment to safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Experience with warehouse management systems and handheld scanners preferred.

• Forklift certification and at least 6 months of safe operation experience preferred.

• Valid forklift certification and 6+ months of safe equipment operation.
• Strong reading and math skills for labeling, counting, and documentation.
• Use a voice‑directed picking system (VoCollect headset) to accurately select and prepare customer orders.

• Full‑time, on‑site in a temperature‑controlled warehouse (dry, cooler, freezer: –5°F to 38°F).
• Primarily a 4‑day work week.
• Weekend and holiday availability required.
• Physically active role with repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
