The Inventory Control and Receiving Clerk is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Las Vegas, NV. This role is responsible for receiving shipments, verifying orders against packing lists and purchase orders, and inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies. The clerk accurately records inventory transactions, updates inventory management systems, and organizes items in designated storage areas to maintain proper stock rotation and cleanliness.
Day‑to‑day tasks include conducting regular cycle counts, reconciling inventory variances, labeling and stocking supplies, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely availability of materials. The role also involves preparing items for internal distribution, assisting with returns and vendor communications, following safety and infection‑control guidelines, and supporting continuous improvement of inventory processes.
- Inventory management skills, including tracking stock levels, performing cycle counts, and maintaining accurate records in inventory systems.
- Receiving and materials handling skills, such as verifying shipments, inspecting goods, organizing storage areas, and operating basic warehouse equipment (with appropriate training/certification where required).
- Attention to detail and basic mathematical skills for reconciling quantities, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring data accuracy.
- Computer proficiency, including experience with inventory or ERP software, email, and basic spreadsheet use.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced, patient‑centered environment.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinical, purchasing, and administrative staff.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, such as lifting moderate weights, standing for extended periods, and safely moving materials, with reasonable accommodations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in inventory control, receiving, or healthcare supply chain is preferred.
