Warehouse Material Handler
Responsible for the accurate and efficient movement of materials within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against packing lists, and report any discrepancies or damage.
- Unload and load trucks using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization.
- Pick and stage orders accurately and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Pack products securely for shipment, adhering to company standards and customer requirements.
- Prepare shipping documents, including labels and manifests.
- Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, performing routine inspections and maintenance checks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in a warehouse or material handling role preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
